The MzDeal Advertising Policy outlines the rules, requirements, and guidelines for creating, publishing, and managing advertising content on the MzDeal platform. This policy applies to all users, sellers, businesses, brands, and partners who place ads or promote products and services on MzDeal.

1. Purpose of This Policy

The purpose of this policy is to ensure that all ads on MzDeal:

Are safe and trustworthy

Are truthful and not misleading

Comply with Mozambique laws

Follow industry standards

Protect users from harmful or deceptive content

Maintain the quality and integrity of the platform

2. Types of Advertising Allowed on MzDeal

MzDeal supports the following advertising formats:

Promoted Listings (boosted posts)

Subscription-based visibility upgrades

Sponsored banners inside app sections

Brand promotions and partnerships

Seasonal or event-based campaigns

All advertising must be approved by the MzDeal moderation team.

3. General Advertising Requirements

All ads must:

Be accurate, clear, and not misleading

Represent the exact product or service being offered

Not include false claims, manipulated images, or fake discounts

Use high-quality images with no watermarks (unless authorized)

Provide truthful pricing and availability information

Follow all MzDeal rules and seller verification requirements

4. Restricted Advertising Categories

The following categories may require additional verification or special approval:

High-value electronics

Vehicles and motorcycles

Real estate and rentals

Financial services

Health-related products

Professional services

MzDeal may request extra documents, licenses, or proof of ownership.

5. Prohibited Advertising Categories

The following ads are strictly prohibited:

5.1 Illegal or Harmful Goods

Drugs, illegal substances, or drug-related items

Weapons, ammunition, explosives

Stolen goods

Counterfeit items

Items violating Mozambique law

5.2 Fraudulent or Misleading Ads

Fake discounts or unrealistic prices

Impersonating a business or seller

False job listings or pyramid schemes

Medical claims without proof

5.3 Sensitive Content

Adult or sexual content

Violent or graphic imagery

Hate speech or discriminatory material

5.4 External Payment & Off-Platform Ads

Ads cannot:

Promote payments outside MzDeal

Redirect users to WhatsApp/Telegram to bypass verification

Promote competing marketplaces without approval

6. Advertising Approval Process

MzDeal reviews all paid and promotional ads before publishing.

6.1 Review Timeframe

Standard ads: 5–30 minutes

Business campaigns: Up to 24 hours

6.2 Possible Statuses

Approved – ad meets all requirements

Rejected – ad violates platform rules

Requires Revision – seller must adjust content

Under Investigation – suspicious or high-risk ads

7. Accuracy & Transparency Requirements

Ads must include:

Correct price

Clear product condition (New/Used)

Real pictures of the actual item

Accurate description with no exaggeration

Delivery or pickup information

8. Sponsored & Paid Ads

Sellers and businesses using paid advertising tools must:

Pay all fees in advance

Understand that ads are non-refundable once published

Follow MzDeal's anti-fraud verification rules

Agree that boosted ads may still be removed if they violate policies

Refunds are not provided for:

Posts removed due to violations

Ads under investigation for fraud

Ads purchased by users who later get banned

9. Ad Ranking & Placement

MzDeal uses a ranking system for ads based on:

Relevance to user search

Quality of the listing

Seller profile trust score

User engagement

Promotion type (promoted ads appear first)

MzDeal does not guarantee specific placement positions.

10. Misuse of Advertising Tools

The following actions result in penalties:

Using boosts to promote fraudulent posts

Posting duplicate ads to gain visibility

Abusing categories or keywords

Manipulating prices or images

Penalties include:

Removal of ads

Loss of promotion fees

Temporary or permanent bans

11. Business & Brand Advertisers

Businesses must:

Provide business registration documents (NUIT)

Submit brand authorization if advertising trademarks

Follow all compliance and quality standards

MzDeal may request:

Marketing materials

Product certificates

Proof of licensed distribution

12. Reporting of Problematic Ads

Users may report ads that seem:

Misleading

Fake

Dangerous

Violent

Illegal

MzDeal will review the report within 24–48 hours.

13. Enforcement & Consequences

Violations of this policy may lead to:

Ad rejection or removal

Account warnings

Loss of advertising privileges

Permanent bans

Legal action for severe offenses

14. Amendments to This Policy

MzDeal may update this Advertising Policy at any time. Changes will be published on the app and website.

Continued use of MzDeal advertising tools means acceptance of updated terms.
